“If you happen to pass by 84 Charing Cross Road, kiss it for me? I owe it so much.“
84 Charing Cross Road is for all the literature and letter lovers.
It’s a cozy collection of letters back and forth between Helene Hanff, an American book collector, and Frank Doel, an antique & used British bookseller. What starts as Helene’s quest to procure a specific book and old literature slowly turns into a correspondence and friendship, that’s both sweet and amusing, as Helene’s American bluntness crumbles Frank’s prim and proper, reserved, British manner. 84 Charing Cross Road is a short read, but definitely an enjoyable one I would recommend!
